In 2018, we were commissioned to capture footage of a contaminated site located in the heart of South Buffalo. A large abandoned structure covered in entropy and decay rested on the edge of the property. This massive 19th-century factory once provided electricity powering the industrial engines of Buffalo during the Queen City's peak. At first glance, most would see poverty, crime, and the passing of an era while looking at this building.

But not Jon Williams. Jon Williams, President, and founder of OSC Brownfields Redevelopment purchased this property with a vision to not only redevelop a section of South Buffalo land but also revive a community lost to the collapse of a booming economic age. It is projects like these that our team is humbled and thrilled to be a part of. Sharing the story of a revival that will be seen for many years to come. The project consisted of filming and capturing the construction of a brand new sports facility featuring a state-of-the-art turf field as well as the renovation and resurgence of the Powerhouse Event Center. ProAerial did an exceptional job of capturing the reconstruction from the sky to offer a unique perspective of the Powerhouse from beginning to end.

During the filming of our interviews, our videographers captured the magnitude of size and beautiful natural light this renovated event space would offer. Our goal was to share with others what Brownfield Redevelopment was and how it plays a vital role in the revival and gentrification of urban neighborhoods. While we work on projects like these, we look for organic and authentic stories that bleed transparency, passion, and truth. Throughout the whole filming of this project, we kept these elements in mind to produce a product that would inspire and invite people on the journey of this new era of Buffalo revival.
